For Immediate Release
Westerly, Rhode Island - On
March 23rd, 2003 the annual Night Of 100 Stars Oscar Viewing Gala,
taking place at the Beverly Hills Hotel on Sunset Boulevard in
Beverly Hills will be attended by artist Julie Borden. The star-studded
benefit for Martin Scorses’s Film Preservation Foundation
is one of the biggest Oscar parties every year and is attended
by a multitude of celebrities from past and present. The film preservation
Foundation has been committed to fostering greater awareness of
the urgent need to preserve our motion picture history. Board members
include Woody Allen, Francis Ford Coppola, Clint Eastwood, George
Lucas, Sydney Pollack, Robert Redford, Martin Scorsese and Steven
Spielberg.
Every celebrity, presenter and performer at this popular charity
celebration will receive an elaborate gift bag, meet the artist
in person, and view Borden’s artwork display. This year for
the first time, Borden’s art, a gift certificate for a limited
edition print of her painting, “Riddles & Music Times
Three” will be featured in these gift bags, along with a
framed print of her painting, “The Colors Of New York” and
highlighted in the Night Of 100 Stars Gift Showcase Room. Borden
was asked to create a display of her original paintings, furniture,
and licensed Juleez™ collections of dinnerware and gifts
at the event, after the Hollywood event promotion company found
her website and artwork on the internet. “When I received
the call, it was a bit overwhelming, but really exciting. I had
to tell them to give me a minute on the phone while I picked my
jaw up off the ground, laughed Borden. “I am absolutely thrilled
to be asked to participate in something so grand as this.”
Hollywood Connection, the event company that contacted Borden
said, “We were looking for something really unique and different
for this event and when we found Julie’s work, I just knew
she would be a smash hit and well received by this audience. The
whimsical styles, colors and her range from paintings to furniture
to entire collections was very impressive, so we wanted to contact
her as soon as possible about participating in our events. We hand
select each company to appear at our events, with each being category
exclusive, and a star in their own right.” We have already
asked Borden to attend the Academy of Country Music Awards taking
place at the Mandalay Bay Hotel in Las Vegas, and the Daytime Emmy
Awards scheduled later this year, in New York City. If that wasn’t
enough to make Borden’s head swirl, another Hollywood event
company, has also contacted Borden this week, offering her the
opportunity to consider participating in the Teen Choice Awards,
MTV Video Awards, and next years Screen Actors Guild Awards, among
a host of other celebrity events.
This exciting news from Juleez™ comes just a few short weeks
after Borden announced that she would be expanding her fine art

heels of Borden signing a multi year art licensing contract in
November of 2002 with Pacific-Enterprise located in Orlando, Florida
to design several product lines for her signature line of Juleez™,
Julie Borden licensed art collections. The collections will feature
Borden’s furniture, dinnerware, collectibles, limited-editions,
giftware and home accent pieces , including new lines of her well
known Funky Folks™ sculpted hairbrushes, previously licensed
